United Nations Youth Award
The United Nations Youth Award (UNYA) is a global programme that enables young people to complete a challenging self-development programme, engage with the UN, participate in social and environmental initiatives, and receive acknowledgement for their efforts.
The UNYA was created as a new challenge for young people to combine personal development with global responsibility. It unites excellent existing programs with new activities to create the first internationally available youth award which reflects the aims and ethos of the UN.
The UNYA is a unique, prestigious, and internationally recognized award that is an asset to any youth’s curriculum vitae. The UNYA is synonymous with bright, hard working, and self-motivated young people who are committed to peace, democracy, and fair treatment for all.
The purpose of the UNYA is to empower young people by giving them the motivation and the skills to become active world citizens. Upon successful completion an award certificate is provided in recognition of their achievements.
